“There is no one and nothing that can break the bond between a mother and her sons!” These are the words that Phil brought to me in the middle of the night. It will never cease to amaze me how my son still communicates from the other side. It’s as if he knows just what I need, when I need it. If you’ve ever felt a heart ache so intense that you thought your heart may just fly right out of your chest…If you’ve ever known grief so unimaginable that your mind can’t comprehend what’s happening…If you’ve ever known the unexplainable pain of losing a child…Then you know the longing to talk to them, to see them, to hug them, just one more time… Are you receiving signs, messages and dream visits from your child? What are they trying to tell you? Is there really life after death? Do our souls really continue on? Perhaps, some of these questions and more will be answered for you here; in this is true story of one mother’s journey through the most intense pain any parent has ever had to endure…It’s a journey through self-discovery, strength and courage. The courage to live life, when the most unimaginable loss has happened.

About the Author Kim lives outside Chicago, Illinois. In April of 2014, she founded a local support group for bereaved parents. The group continues to grow every month. She started a Facebook page, a website, and a blog for grieving parents who prefer the comfort and privacy of their own home. On her quest to find answers to questions that no one really has the answers to, she found that she was on a journey to rebuilding her life. Many of us are traveling this unwanted path of grieving our children. None of us want to be here, but reality is, that we are here and we need to find ways to live and reinvest in life. It doesn't matter if your child was here for a few seconds or fifty years, your beloved child is gone and you are left to pick up the shattered pieces of your heart and go on. Kim “gets” what you are going through and it is her hope that you will find something in this book to help you continue forward with your journey… to hope and healing in life.

By Michaele Powell Thank you and Phil for sharing your families stories about your son, brother, grandson, friend... I am actually a medium, and as a medium I do my best to try to help and support those who are grieving. As I read your book I actually found myself sobbing, it's rare for me because I'm usually not on the receiving end of the messages, so to share information for me is usually more of a feeling of illumination as I can feel spirits love for the Loved Ones, and their joy when they are able to pass their messages on.While I read your book, I felt your son in certain moments, his determination and his own sadness along with yours, both of you wanting to feel each other so desperately at times, I found myself talking to you both, "Just trust, be open to his signs" and "keep trying, don't give up, they will see and hear and feel you, it will take a little while so just keep trying!" And I would feel the tears running down my face...moments you were able to capture and write so eloquently about, your feelings were easy to imagine, to feel... there were parts that tugged at my heart strings, and parts that allowed me to open my own heart and release literally years of tears that I realized I have been holding onto. No, I haven't lost a child, but I hopefully have been able to help at least a few that have, but I have lost an unusually large amount of people, family and friends in my own life (I believe for a reason so that I would be able to understand another's grief,) and being a channel for others, I think I somehow was able to hide my own grief to protect others, what kind of a medium would I be if I began blubbering every time I felt spirit near me... Reading your story has literally been a cathartic experience for me and for that I am truly grateful to you. What I do feel strongly is your strength, even though you wrote about the tremendous pain and grief you were and do experience I am taken aback by your honesty and the love you have for your son and the gift you have of being able to share that with others in your written word.I hope you continue to write, and continue to share your stories...there are so many people out there who have suffered such enormous tragedies, losing a child is something no parent should have to go through, but for those that do, your words will have a profound and healing effect. You are a blessing.Much loveMicha'ele

By Brandon I have never read a book that brought me such pain and such hope at once. Kim is an awesome writer. Sharing her story with others had to be the most difficult thing to do! I also believe you should read this book if you lost your husband, your wife, your sister, your mother. No one should have to bury a child, we all believe that. But this book is so insightful that I think anyone who has lost a loved one will truly appreciate the words of this woman who suffered a devastating loss!M. Decorie, Illinois
