Then I started to read, I read most of the book while everyone else was sleeping, it took me twenty hours with many breaks, I just couldn't put it down. Sometimes it felt so real. I could relate many times to the story. John puts some real nice touches in this book. Today I downloaded his music. It's weird how he puts them same personal touches in his music, just like he does Abyss III.The passion he puts into his books and music are very captivating. I can tell that he is a real people person, I feel anyone would relate to his books or music in some way.I feel he writes a great book and I plan to put his other books on my list to read. I would definitely recommend this book to just about anyone!John Emil Augustine, I want to commend you on a well written book. Thanks for sharing.Dan

By Amazon Customer FROM THE ABYSS IIIBy John Emil AugustineThe third installment of a man dealing with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) from a marriage that was very emotionally abusive. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder isn't only for Soldiers that come home from a very traumatic overseas assignment; it can happen to anyone who has gone through a very stressful life altering experience. For instance, a seven year old girl who has never met her biological father and then is order by a judge to go live with a man she has never met till that day. Why is that traumatic? Consider that her parents have given her instruction all her life about not talking to strangers and now she is going to move clear across the country to live with a man she only met in a court room.John Emil Augustine's story is very much like that. He marries a woman who is verbally and emotionally abusive. They have a baby, which he is totally ill equipped to take care of because he's trying to eke out a living and makes some very foolish mistakes along the way. They divorcee and his life becomes even more of a living nightmare.John is a very good writer and his poignant story has a way of educating people about PTSD from beginning to end. This book expresses his disgust of using the system to keep his family above water. Although, the book is a good read I had been hoping it would come to an end. There is book IV coming out soon and I will be buying it because I am interested in how he discovers he has PTSD and what he is doing about this mental illness. So John, hurry up and get that book out I am an impatient reader.

By Kindle Customer In the third book, I find myself asking how far can someone fall before their spirit is irrevocably broken. Just when it seems things are looking up, everything falls apart. Yet some how hope is not truly lost. As you read, you will feel the rollercoaster life has been for the writer. You keep hoping finally everything will be fine However, life isn't like that. Yet I feel hope that in the next book, things will turn out. The reader can't help feeling better times lie ahead though knowing deep within that the bad things are still lying in wait.Beautifully written and done in a way you know this is not a nightmare but a reality too many people face. For some reason it leads me to believe it brings hope to all who think life can't get worse before you finally find a light at the end of the tunnel.
