An intimate account of the emotional and spiritual fallout from the author’s second miscarriage, the story weaves a detailed narrative of her inner journey to express unspoken feelings, memorialize invisible loss, and recover her shattered faith. She turns to writing as a tool for healing, which evolves into a form of prayer that helps her face the difficult decision of trying to conceive again. Profound inner shifts lead to remarkable transformation as she encounters new landscapes which inspire her to reclaim her fertile, creative energies. For survivors of Miscarriage and Pregnancy Loss By Esmerelda Full disclosure, the author is a good friend, and she and I have been through this journey of miscarriage and pregnancy loss and recovering from it at similar times. Her story was very familiar to me, yet very different from my own. I loved reading this book and understanding her journey because it was a familiar and relatable path for me.I would recommend this story to any woman who has had a pregnancy loss and is searching for ways to try and make sense of it (as if it ever really makes sense) or simply to understand ways to move forward or to know that you are not alone. Kim has an eloquent voice and is quite skilled on taking you on her internal and external journey through the pain, the confusion, the big life decisions and the resolution she reaches. When we tell our stories and use our voices to understand ourselves and each other we not only heal, but we help others heal as well. Enjoy the book.

OPEN, HONEST, HOPEFUL By Lynn MRS B The author courageously opens her heart and allows the reader to see and feel the pain of losing a child to miscarriage. I was fortunate to have read this book so recently after a dear friend of mine miscarried. It gave me insight into what my friend could be facing both physically and emotionally and better equipped me to reach out to her. After revealing the tremendous and often silent pain of miscarriage, the author takes you on her own, very personal journey toward emotional healing and eventually to a place of peace and contentment. Hope after loss is one of the strongest themes. The author's writing style is clear, easy to read, and makes you want to keep on reading. Highly recommended for healthcare workers who may find themselves working with miscarriage patients and any of us who may be called on to support and encourage a friend who has miscarried. Also recommended to those suffering the pain of miscarriage to know you are not alone in your pain and that there is hope for brighter days ahead.

It can help through the process of healing, letting go, and re-embracing the creative potential after what can be a devastating loss. Kim's writing is tender, honest, and searching and able to communicate the complex feelings that happen for mothers. This book is a gift for any woman who has had this experience, to know she is not alone, there is a way forward, and it can be a way that opens the next chapter of her self discovery in life. It's also for the partners of women who've suffered miscarriages, to better understand the complexity around the experience of their wives. Thank you Kim for sharing this with the community at large, on a topic which needs much more speaking to in a healing way!
