Let’s see where do I start? After my grandmother passed my mother soon found herself on drugs. We lost everything. Had to move from place to place; rain, sleet, or snow. Sometimes leaving our belongings behind. Abusive relationships were common. On several occasions we had to jump from a two story home to escape. I soon found myself in a gang of unhealthy relationships and activities. I went from nearly dying giving birth to my first baby at seventeen to stripping in nightclubs. I can truly say I’ve lived my life by the gun, once robbed at gun point. Jailed for aggravated assault the list goes. I fought because that was all I knew how to do. Life and its ups and downs… My biggest upset may have been the very rumor my very own mother spewed. I had aids… I am still going through healing and pain. Still going through fighting the demons of my past. Read this journey of daily repair, a raw uncut tale of hurt, pain, and recovery.

About the Author My name is Trina Hamilton-Thompson. I was born on March 30,1977 to Mrs. Sherry Lynn Autry-Hamilton and Mr. Willie Barnell Hamilton. I am from Memphis, Tennessee. I attended Sheffield High School and later graduated from Central High School online. I attended several different beauty colleges Pro Way Hair School, New Wave Hair Academy being two of them. I write music, I sing, I rap, and I'm also an inspiring Author. I am a proud mother of four. Although my journey was not easy I made the best of it. I did not complain I just did what I had to do by any means. Through all of my everyday trials, I learned to never give up. I found comfort in writing that's how I expressed my feelings but ultimately, I learned to only depend on myself. I was self motivated. I didn't have to work hard cause I was self driven. I knew whatever I wanted I had to get out there and get it and make it happen on my own. I got my hands dirty every now and then. My mom was always there when I needed her However, I knew that she had problems of her own but I did not let that stop me. I loved her unconditionally despite the mistakes that she made, we all make them. I can truly say that my circumstances, as a child has molded me into the strong and gifted woman that I am today, and because of God's Grace I'm able to share, and tell my story. Everyday I live to learn something new. I may not have everything I want , but I Thank God for Everything, that I have. Stay Tuned there will be a part two of this Book.

Additionally, it also depicts the result of poor choices by our youth, lack of accountability, and lack of consequences for their action. I did not find that based on her experiences there are any indications that she ever learned from her struggles, nor did she state that as a result of those struggles she taught her children any life values. She was asked to live with her aunt but "couldn't hang." because she could not go and come as she please. I feel that she was a defiant teen who later got pregnant and rather than get a job to support her family, she chose to strip, quit her jobs to live with anyone who would take her and her child in, and chase jail birds. It seems that she never wanted to apply herself and chose and/or choosing quick/fast money. This choice never works, ask those incarcerated for trying this scheme. Trina get a real job!!!
