About the Author Tracy Y. Summers is a mother of three, one daughter and two sons. Her daughter, Shundria is married to Averial, Sr. with two daughters, Nasya and Nyaah, and one grandson, Averial, Jr. Her daughter is a principal of an elementary school. Tracy’s two sons are Josiah, age 5 and Thomas, age 7. Tracy’s love for children inspired her to adopt Thomas. Tracy is also a foster parent. Tracy is an educator with over 20 years of experience as administrator and teacher. Her experience teaching in education extends to Michigan, Mississippi, New York, and Texas. She has a Master’s and Specialist degrees in education and all courses completed for a Ph.D. Upon submitting to the call of God on her life completely, she decided to leave the public education arena and pursue a Doctorate in Ministry. Tracy has a love for children and desires that they learn to love others. Tracy’s desire is that as children read her books, they will learn a lesson that they can take with them as they enter the real world. Her books will impact the lives of children in a positive manner. The children’s books are centered around a simple theme that will teach a simple lesson that can be used throughout the child’s life.

I think this book has a very powerful message. The message I received from "Together" is that there's all different types of families and you do not have to be born into a family to be loved.
