Unfiltered viewing through the eyes of an abused child By Matt in MI The very definition of quality when speaking of a work of non-fiction is to elicit emotions of a broad scale all the while informing the reader on a specific subject.Mr. Dikeman hits a chord on both counts many times over in this riveting, genuine account of his childhood and the abuse he suffered.While I wanted to constantly interject my own feelings and hopes of somehow rewriting the injustices that he suffered, I could not help but continue to turn the pages to see what came next.A child should have so much more than what this author was given in life, but to have the strength to not only survive it, but to also write about it; to bring it to light so that others may be saved the same pain and brutality brings a new definition to mind..... That of heroism.Thank you Mr Dikeman, for showing me truth.

This book is a must read and a great look into the life that children, all over the world, go through when they live with abuse. It is not only physical abuse, but mental and sexual from everyone in his life. Sadly, this is a fact of life that we too often turn away from and ignore, we need to stop ignoring it!! Thank you so much for sharing yo life with us!!! I am looking forward to reading from this author.
