You know the type I mean- the one that you know has been through some life and is still the more beautiful for it. First I have to say that I absolutely loved this book. All of the poems are relatable. Kottyn is a poet who through her writing has shared some experiences that many women go through. I don’t mean to exclude the men because they are included. The poetry speaks of love found, lost, hard fought for, of truth, denial, lies, deceit, adultery, life and death. It speaks of families and what is the cycle of a relationship. What she also does is show that she is a believer of religion; that she believes in God. All of this helps her show the world her view.The content of her book is broken into two sections. The first section is the poetry section and the second section is the Haiku. In between she intersperses the ending “Softly Spoken- Kottyn”. What I find interesting is that she seems open to looking at herself and relationships in plain speaking and language; but, also showing her maturity. I do not want to spoil anything that she has written for you. I wish you to read it for yourself.I highly recommend this read for all women and men who wish to read it. If you wish to have your teenager read it; then I believe that is okay as well.Disclosure: I received no compensation for this novel; but did receive the book as a gift.

A lovely collection By David Anthony Sam Ye Chun paints her poetry in an English that refers both to her life and family history in China and also to the pictorial language of that land. She weaves the personal, the political, and the natural in a fabric that speaks quietly but profoundly. Nowhere do I read or hear a misstep, just the ebb and flow of the river of her experience.

Using the first marriage of Adam and Eve as a model, the two learn the roles and terms of references as handed over by God, the author of marriage. How this foundation is cast has a direct bearing on the happiness of marriage. To trade marriage for worldly standards such as peer pressure, prestige, pride, desire for short term material benefits, fashion and public approval is a sure route to an unhappy marriage.God designed marriage for the companionship of man and woman. Genesis 2:18 says “It is not good for man to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him”. God, therefore, made a woman to correspond to man in order to be an associate, and a partner of equal dignity before God.God has equally designed marriage for the mutual help of husband and wife (Genesis 2:18). This is to complement each other physically, emotionally, and spiritually. “Two are better than one; because they have a better reward for their labour” (Ecclesiastes 4:9), the scriptures declare.God has also designed marriage for the purpose of Procreation (Genesis 1:27-28). Marriage is the right context to raise off-springs. Moreover, children are a gift from God and our timing and desires may not always be God’s plan. Psalm 113:9, Psalm 127:3-5; Deuteronomy 7:13 and Deuteronomy 28:4 highlight this truth. Thus, barrenness, late arrival of children, number of children, and combinations of sexes of children will always be the prerogative of God almighty. Barrenness is heart breaking, but is a real possibility for some and in such circumstances, adoption may be considered.God has additionally, designed marriage as the legitimate setting for sexual intimacy (1Corinthians 7:2, 9). Every person must drink from their own cistern. The husband and wife must not deny each other and must not seek sexual satisfaction outside marriage.On a higher level, God designed marriage so that the marriage relationship can reflect Christ’s relationship to his people, the church. The husband’s love to the wife should reflect Christ’s sacrificial love as revealed in the epistle Ephesians 5:25-30. The marriage relationship must portray Christ’s love to the world.According to the divine framework of marriage, only death should end the marriage union (and at the second coming of Christ when all marriages shall be dissolved, because in heaven there are no marriages, as Luke 20:34-36 tells us). Matthew also tells us:“For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, let not man separate” (Matthew 19:4-6).Moses of the bible permitted dissolution of marriages because of the stubbornness of man (arising from our fallen nature). However, marriage was not initially supposed to end this way because the Lord hates divorce (See also Matthew 19: 8-10).A successfull courtship journey culminates into the solemn exchange of vows pledging love and fidelity. A successful courtship journey will result into a solid marriage foundation that will stand the various marriage turbulances. A successful courtship journey will commit to the duty to love as Christ loved the Church, and to submit as the church submits to Christ.The marriage mandate is clear:“What God has joined together, let no man put asunder!”This book is dedicated to the young people; it is an experiential account to guide and encourage the persuits of laying a solid foundation for future marriages.

While reading it, I was literally, laughing one minute and crying the next. This book truly does possess "windows to the soul." Fowler This short and sweet book shined a major light on the reality of maneuvering through life as a single mom, of a child with autism. Not many of the stories you hear give this perspective. It was eyeopening, endearing, educational, informative, and funny at times. It's one of those books that allows you to be appreciative on your worse days, yet allowing empathy for those that may be walking a different path in life. I look forward to this book being expanded to learn more about how Marshawn moves into adulthood!

I love the different positions in this book and feel inclined to try them out and spice up my sex life with my husband . So many of the things that are in this book are so invaluable. This is a true gem of a book. I will be keeping, and using, this one for a very long time. Do NOT hesitate in buying this book.

Operating systems seem to move on so quickly that writers can never stay relevant. I looked at this and thought that it wasn't too old, but el Capitan completely ignored the first five tips I tried. Maybe I was just unlucky.

All sorts of obvious and less obvious tips and tricks are gathered in an accessible and gentle way. Recommended! Only one comment: some tips are a bit dated, but that will be true for any book about software.

I was asked to read it for our Valentines Day celebration. I was deeply touched by Max Velthuijs's amazing ability to tenderly convey such a hopeful message that both young children, as well as adults can grasp easily. My husband and I were very much like frog and duck when we were good friends. Ironically, just as frog meets with an accident, so did my husband and just like duck, I was able to help him and we admitted our deep affection for eachother. Naturally I went and bought the story for my husband and read it to him. When I got to the last page, and read the words "Love knows no boundaries" we both had tears in our eyes. Someday when we have our children, we'll read this lovely story to them!

It's not a topic you usually find in children's books and it's sweet. The illustrations have lovely rich colors too.
