About the Author Pepper Trail is a poet and naturalist based in Ashland, Oregon. He has been involved in the exploration and protection of the wild and remote Cascade-Siskiyou region of southern Oregon for over 20 years. His poetry has appeared in Rattle, Atlanta Review, Spillway, Borderlands, Cascadia Review and other publications, and has been nominated for Pushcart and Best of the Net awards.
