What a delight to learn that my great great grand uncle, Issac Ray, MD, wrote this classic text on medical jurisprudence. An amazingly interesting book - made even more interesting knowing that 140 years earlier in Beverly/Salem MASS members of an earlier generation of our family signed petitions in support of women accused during the Salem witch trials. This extraordinary book calls for humane treatment of people with severe emotional difficulties. First published in 1836, this book is a treasure full of lessons still relevant in the care and incarceration.

He earned his BA at Brown University and his PhD at Princeton University.

About the Author Joani Reese is the author of two poetry chapbooks: Final Notes and Dead Letters. Night Chorus is her first full length collection. Reese’s poetry and fiction have been widely anthologized and featured in both print and online venues. Reese has been poetry editor for THIS Magazine and senior poetry editor for Connotation Press—An Online Artifact and was fiction guest editor for Scissors and Spackle in 2013 & 2014. Reese is currently Editor-in-Chief of the online magazine MadHat Lit, the quarterly online presence of MadHat Publishing. Reese won the first Patricia McFarland Memorial Prize for her flash fiction and The Graduate School Creative Writing Award from The University of Memphis for her poetry, where she earned her MFA. Each one of these poems slices life open and examines its inner-workings completely, without fear or hesitation. Reese is a no-holds-barred writer who reminds us that our commonality in this world is wandering and wondering and teasing out the tough stuff as opposed to letting it defeat us. This is no self-help book, it could be reduced to "dark," but the sheer beauty of language here provides its readers with life's magnificent contrast - all that exists beneath and because of our arduous roads.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. A Rare Achievement By Kari Nguyen Joani Reese writes as if each poem will be her last, with both urgency and clarity. The poetry in Night Chorus is haunting, lyrical, mesmerizing, and beautifully arranged, and resonates well beyond the actual text. Each entry in this full-length collection shook me; my copy is dog-eared with favorites. It is not even enough to say that Reese is a dazzling and powerful writer or that Night Chorus is a tremendous book. They are, both of them, rare achievements.

You will find some to be so disturbing you'll want to stop reading and clear your head, but you won't. There is too much beauty in these words. Reese conjures images that will make you want to scream, cry, curse but you need breath for those physical operations, breath you won't have. You may find it necessary to pace yourself, absorb limited quantities, to avoid overdose.I've followed Ms. Reese's career for several years now. She is one of the most eloquent but overlooked contemporary poets. No cultural more' is immune to her dissection. No quaint love story escapes the scalpel. With surgical precision she opens our societies deepest secrets and holds them up for the reader to experience through all senses. Though she is a master of poetic form a lot of the work is written in free verse and flash. The collection has a number of previously published works including most of Dead Letters, a chapbook released about a year before Night Chorus.Just as you become so emotionally wrung out that you doubt your ability to continue she brings a hint of hopefulness into the final pages. This collection, as a whole, is as perfectly crafted as any contemporary poetry available today. "She will feast on the careless, / those who have not learned there is danger / in such beauty."

By Adam Sanchez I'm not one to write reviews very often, but in this case I wanted to help people make an educated purchase. The collector's edition of this book has no spine label. It is completely blank! I wrote Prima Games about this and they confirmed it was not a defect, that was how it was suppose to be. It's a really disappointing omission and one that doesn't make any sense to me. I have the other Zelda Collector's Guide and the same font and size would of fit on this book just fine.Another thing of note is this is by far the thinnest of the Zelda CE Books. Half as thick as any of the other ones. I know this game isn't as deep as other mainline Zelda games, but I still wanted to mention it. This book also does not have the golden edged pages. If you want to get the hard cover guide, I would just say try and get a good deal on it.The book is the usual good quality otherwise, but it not having a spine label is very odd.

Thompson So I got the collectors edition hardback along with the statue from Gamestop, and I remember that I used to have the Prima guide for the N64 version back in the day. I cracked it open on a whim and pulled up the map of Clock Town and they totally just reused their old map from the N64 version. You can see where the bank was in West Clock Town, and they haven't changed the map to reflect the moved owl statue and the new bank location. Also, the swamp trail map is just completely missing the fishing hole building since it wasn't there in the N64 game. This guide, while pretty, shows a lack of effort on Prima's part.

A Very Helpful Strategy Guide By Adam Silvia I understand that some people might make the arguments that they don't need a strategy guide, but I disagree with that line of thought most of the time, especially if you want to get everything a game has to offer. Yes, you can search places like YouTube and blogs, but I always prefer a physical book over searching all over the internet. That being said this strategy guide was helpful to me right off the bat, and is filled will useful pictures, maps, and tips that will help all gamers. On top of all that I felt that the maps were very well labeled, which helped me a ton in finding items and completing my quests. Speaking of quest, each part of the quest are clearly labeled, so there is no guessing work, which is important, because you only have three game days to finish them before the world ends.Chapter 0: IntroductionChapter 1: How To PlayChapter 2: Items and GearChapter 3: Monsters and EnemiesChapter 4: WalkthroughChapter 5: Legendary ChecklistThe bottom line is that strategy guides isn't a must own for everyone, but I highly recommend picking the Majora's Mask guide up. About the Author Michael Robinson is a cyber threat intelligence analyst and senior digital forensic examiner for a large, international corporation. Michael has conducted computer and mobile device forensic investigations for commercial and government agencies. He previously performed computer and cell phone exploitation and analysis for customers in the U.S. Intelligence Community. Additionally, Michael performed computer forensic examinations in the FBI’s Investigative Analysis Unit, where he assisted special agents with counter-intelligence and criminal cases. Michael is the former CIO of the U.S. Department of Defense’s Business Transformation Agency, where he oversaw all information technology and information assurance operations for the agency, including overseeing all incident response and forensic investigations. Michael is the Program Coordinator and Adjunct Professor for Stevenson University’s Master of Science in Cyber Forensics. He is the recipient of Stevenson University's Rose Dawson Award for outstanding adjunct faculty member of the year. He teaches courses in mobile device forensics, intrusion analysis, and cyber warfare. Michael is also an Adjunct Professor in George Mason University’s Master of Science in Computer Forensics. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, a Master of Science in Information Assurance, a Master of Science in Forensic Studies (concentrating on computer forensics), and a graduate certificate in Applied Intelligence. Michael has presented at numerous national and international conferences including DEF CON, the DoD and U.S. Cyber Crime Conferences, CEIC, InfoSec World, and the BCISS Conference on Intelligence Analysis. He has authored over a dozen journal articles and a book on disaster recovery planning for nonprofit organizations.

By Jim Murray I found the book to be a clear, concise, and easy to follow guide. It helps the novice and expert to take the steps required for forensic analyses. The book covers a wide variety of very important and appliable topics, like: file carving, prefetch files, and artifacts in the registry. The workbook steps are keyed to graphics and detailed instructions. I found it easy to read and helpful as a new forensic analyst and would alos be applicable as a reference/refresher for key functons.

At first, I thought I was headed down the rabbit hole with Alice. Then the poems began to make a Wonderland kind of sense. And then the collection became something almost profound.I never would have thought I would have used the word “profound” in describing 46 poems written about rapper Kanye West (who may be equally famous as the husband of Kim Kardashian as he is for rap music).But that’s what poet Sarah Blake did. She wrote 46 poems as a kind of unauthorized biography of the singer. She wrote 46 poems that are also about her non-relationship with the singer. I suspect that’s why she entitled the collection "Mr. West" instead of something less formal.Apparently, Mr. West and his people were not pleased. Perhaps they didn’t understand what she did. Or perhaps they did.The poems are not a send-up or a satire. This is serious poetry. Blake employs one of the icons of popular culture and does what poets, good poets, are able to do. She makes us see something familiar in a very different, perplexing and ultimately uncomfortable way. In others words, she makes us see ourselves.The Week Kanye Joined TwitterWe find there are fewer dinosaurswhen we learn how the skulls age.Shifting horns, bones that thinand smooth, holes that form likesome desires do. If they like a particular kind of food, then so do we. We imitate their fashion styles and their hairdos, and we listen worshipfully to their music.This is the culture Blake addresses in "Mr. West." She uses herself as our representative and she follows everything he’s doing while she herself is actually (and really) expecting a baby. When it arrived three days ago, I immediately began reading the book and didn't put it down until I had read every word. I loved it! It's a compelling depiction of a pop icon from the keen perspective of an obvious fan, critical observer, and expectant mother. I think we're going to hear a lot about this book and its author over the coming months. The book is that good and that timely.

I bought this book on a whim at my go-to smoothie place and was surprised by how much I liked it. I don't have kids but, I've been toying with the thought of veganism for years. I guess I figured that if a kid can "deal" with a vegan diet, an adult can at least give it a try? (The cute little kid on the cover is even eating a cupcake!)I loved the 5 days of vegan meals. I'm not a fan of cooking so I combed through for the easiest recipes and liked the "tuNOT" salad and stuffed peppers the most. Over the past few weeks, I've been trying to "veganize" the foods I eat anyway and have actually been enjoying the challenge. I am by no means a perfect vegan but, I'm eating a lot better and heading in the right direction. Vegan cupcakes, here I come.

I had a similar experience, having close bonds with animals growing up. Eventually, I couldn't eat them, that made no sense to me! I'm more of a vegetarian than vegan but who knows what the future holds. Great book, highly recommended. Also validating. My boyfriend is a meat eater, and it can be challenging at times for us. We're figuring it out one day at a time.
