I've read so many by other authors, and none can compare. Status Single is funny, and definitely a page-turner. I read this book in one sitting, and I'm hoping that this isn't the last book I'll read by Daniela Sainato!!

Daniela has an uncanny way of sharing her experiences and perspective on dating in a way that is both extremely witty and brilliant. Status Single is the perfect balance of horrific dating experiences, hilarity, and the hope and optimism every single girl looking for true love should hold onto. In today's day and age the dating game has changed drastically from our parents or grandparents day. And more often than not we come home from a date thinking, "Is it me? Did I unknowingly and unintentionally put some vibe out there that made him think I would be into that?" You then proceed to go over EVERY detail in your head, share your experience with all your friends so that they can reassure you it's of course, not you. If you have ever questioned yourself in a similar manner, this book is a must read!!! It is miraculously funny and incredibly insightful at the same time. There were times as I was reading I was laughing so hard I had to set the book down and just crack up. After I was finished, my single world was brighter and more interesting. Reading Status Single is like having a conversation with a really good, hilarious and wise friend. It completely delivers, you will not understand singledom the same way again, nor will you be able to see a pickle ever again without thinking of this book and laughing. THIS BOOK IS A GEM!

Her writing is so clear and honest. It comes right from her heart and you, reader, immediately identifies with her! She has a simple and straightforward style, almost like you are sitting across from her having coffee discussing last nights date. It's entertaining, it's funny, it's informative. Anyone who has dated as an adult will identify, man or woman. What I found so entertaining was how she shared your inner thoughts with us, you felt like you were right there, could just picture the puzzled looks on her face, feel her uncomfortableness in certain situations and her justified anger at a number of the "normal" guys. Really well done! This is a delight and I hightly recommend it.

Randomly Accessed Poetics: Ghost House (Volume 6), by William James Lindberg

About the Author Randomly Accessed Poetics is a testament to William James Lindberg’s love of creative expression. He is proud to present all the works randomly arranged between the covers of his books. Ghost House was inspired by a random photograph he took on the way into hometown Willamina, Oregon. The individual works are not necessarily about anything supernatural or Halloweenish rather they are fanciful flights of imagination about a particular emotion or memory of point in time. And who’s to say these words on the page aren’t ghosts in some reality in the vast multi-verse we live. The editor (or author of this idea Randomly Accessed Poetics) currently lives a Henry David Thoreau fantasy in between rural Grand Ronde and Willamina, Oregon. In the solitude of a hidden valley he gardens words online at RAPoetics.com, penhead-press.com, and publishes a periodical called Randomly Accessed Poetics.

This book aims to help those who are suffering from the following: *Are you duplicating code into other scripts? *Would you like to write cleaner code but don't know how? * Is your codebase turning into spaghetti? * Is it becoming difficult to find bugs in your code? * Is your codebase difficult to change without breaking something somewhere else? 0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. poorly written, poorly formatted, not enough material By Bizzarro Stormy I'm wary of low-priced, self-published books with no reviews on amazon, but the introduction to this book seemed to be promising exactly what I was looking for so I took a chance. Unfortunately, that was a mistake. In a nutshell, this book is poorly written, poorly formatted, and there is not enough material to fully cover the topics that are discussed. It seems like it might have been written in one sitting without the benefit of proof reading or reflection about whether there was adequate attention to the topics discussed. The assumptions given in the introduction specify the reader has "familiarity with C# at a basic level." The table of contents lists topic like inheritance, interfaces, and delegates and promises to go over the basics. Taken together, you might think the book will introduce you to these topics and how they are best used in Unity to write cleaner code. However, unless you have a fairly complete working knowledge of what each of these things are already, the material will be meaningless to you. While the lack of adequate material is the core problem, it is compounded further by numerous grammar issues and typos. In addition, the code portions are not in a monospaced font, making it extremely difficult to make out what is happening, especially if you do not have a very wide reading device so that the typical line of code is wrapped and continues on the next line. I'm not sure what options amazon gives to publishers, but if this isn't possible, people simply shouldn't publish coding books on this particular platform. On a more positive note, it seems as though the pattern (inadequately) touched on in this book would lead to cleaner code. It might serve as a useful overview to go learn about elsewhere. There does seem to be some useful snippets interspersed throughout the book.It would be more appropriate as a series of blog posts. Simply put, this is not material that is worth paying any amount for in its current form.

Yes, it could use a proofread, but it is still readable and the information is great for a beginner because it is straightforward, with easy to follow code.

"Rosalie Calabrese guides us through the mixed emotions of motherhood, including its joys and celebrations, but also its thorns, which make her acutely aware, 'Though temporarily relieved, / I dread what’s left unsaid.' The unspoken silences take the reader on a journey beneath the darkness, where her young son grew up, married and is, 'Always with me now … / Not in body ... the last image of you / Lying in that box like a stuffed doll, / Muscle and bone discharged to science.' With clarity, purpose, great poignancy and economy, Calabrese prays for hope and comfort, for a life and loss so profound." — Pamela L. Laskin, Director of the Poetry Outreach Center, and Author of The Plagerist (Dos Madres Press) and The Bonsai Curator (Cervena Barva Press) "Poems with a special sparkle, humor and deep feeling, sensitively conveying a boy’s journey into manhood and beyond, recalled by a grieving mother who forgets nothing but keeps her sorrow in a sacred corner of her heart. Readers can relate on all levels to these poems that depict wry wit, beauty, pain, and the exquisite emotions that life brings in the hands of a true poet." — Ilsa Gilbert, Poet, Playwright, Librettist, Lyricist "The woman you hear in this cycle of poems about the life and death of a son is someone you would want to have as a friend. She is sexual, maternal, intensely feminine, both implacably honest and fastidiously private; clear eyed in confronting the contradictions between the needs posed by a mother’s love and those of a woman in search of her own life. Because of this, the good memories can can live." — Carol Jochnowitz, Writer and Editor

This book is dedicated to the love of my life, my wife Kristy. The threat of losing her to HELLP Syndrome has forced me to reevaluate how much I love her, cherish her and need her. She is an incredible wife, mother and friend. It’s amazing how God brought us together and then refused to let us be torn apart by this disease. I was inspired to write this book to encourage other couples out there to never give up when faced with a life or death situation. I wanted to share our story to educate and inspire others who may be going through a difficult trial in their lives. Understanding and Coping with HELLP Syndrome As with all complications that occur during pregnancy, a diagnosis of HELLP syndrome can be frightening to a new mother and her family. Educating patients about this disease can help reduce that fear and allow for calm, rational decisions to be made regarding treatment. What is HELLP Syndrome? Usually understood to be a variant of preeclampsia, HELLP syndrome is named for an abbreviation of the main symptomatic conditions used to diagnose the condition: hemolytic anemia, elevated liver enzymes, and a low platelet count. This condition, like preeclampsia and eclampsia, generally occurs during the later stages of pregnancy, but can sometimes surface even after childbirth. The exact cause of the disease is unknown, and there is no known way to prevent it from occurring; however, certain risk factors may allow doctors to assess risk levels during pregnancy.

By Ken West Every once in awhile there is a book that meets you right where you are and this is one of those books. My mother died the day she gave birth to me, and the impact of that has an effect that lasts a lifetime, even on the newborn child left behind. Considering all that the author and his wife Kristy went through, you can see through the book, and I have seen first hand in the life of Paul, the impact of a surrendered heart to the providence of a loving God. The author takes you through the most trying and painful time of his entire life with a story that is both an inspiration and encouragement for all of us. Highly recommended reading.

By Paul Paul shares an incredibly personal journey that begins with his struggle finding his way as a young single man in the world. Paul tries this and that in attempt to discover some sense of purpose for his life. All along not really sure where he’s headed, Paul eventually comes to a point of near despair before turning to Jesus for help with the assistance of loving friends. Paul begins to learn about God studying the bible and hanging around Christians who know the Lord. Over time, Paul starts noticing small things in his life changing for the better…something he couldn’t accomplish on his own. HELLP chronicles many changes in Paul’s life including meeting his future wife, Kristy. Kristy experiences a life-threatening pregnancy complication (HELLP) that resulted, among other things, in Paul’s faith being tested to the max. Little did Paul know how God had been preparing him for years for this very critical time in their lives and his faith would make all the difference. This book illustrates so well in a real and pragmatic way that there is no better way to live your life than with Jesus leading the way and trusting Him fully. Love this book!

I've known Paul from a distance for almost twenty years, as a subscriber to our mortgage consulting newsletter. When we heard of Kristy's difficult delivery and Sophia's struggles at birth, our prayers started . . . and continued for years as Paul would share photos of his beloved girls from time to time. The book has given us a glimpse of Paul's life before meeting Kristy, and we applaud him for being BRAVE enough to share some of the tumultuous events. Oh my!!! No doubt all of those close calls, actually near-death calls, were our Lord's way of preparing him for meeting Kristy, nourishing both of them with His word and the fellowship of like minds, all with an eye toward giving him/them strength for this journey. The book has served to renew my faith, to "hold onto God's promises" and to sing praises for Kristy, who truly was the "Miracle of the Year".May God continue to bless the Ambrogio family.Warmest regards,Jane Pontius

Poetry. Winner of the Patricia Bibby First Book Prize, 2013, judged by Ralph Angel. "Erin Malone writes poems of separation and deep longing for the Other—brother, son, husband, yes—but most importantly, the dislocated self. Tied by the binds of convention, this bound self twists against the ropes around her wrists, not so much to free herself, but to better feel the burns they make there when she does. In careful (read: care- filled) scalpel-precise lines, we hear a voice compelled to speak out in what Allan Grossman calls 'the language of last resort.' Reader, this is just the beginning."—Kary Wayson "I simply love Erin Malone's HOVER—its perfection of phrase, its sheer lucidity, its open heart. There are real hauntings and anxieties here, often of the most excruciating, heart-wrenching variety, but somehow the book leaves me in the mood of a crisp, clear morning on which one feels amazed to be alive. 'It's taken me this long to become human,' Malone writes; taken together, the poems in HOVER convey that earned, admirable sense of humanness, in language that shines."—Maggie Nelson "Erin Malone's poems drop flares into the dark sea of new motherhood, illuminating the silvered leap of a mind mid-flight, a mind at times unmade: the mind of making. Wildly precise and sharply beautiful, these poems detonate inside the most unlikely containers: studies of dead languages, incandescent bulbs, fables, terrariums, 'an alphabet of crows.' Subterranean, aerial, quick-turning and generous, the line she casts is a thrilling one to catch hold of."—Megan Snyder-Camp "The poems in HOVER deftly explore the worlds of loss and personal dislocation. Malone's principal technique is compression, and the music that results from her carefully-considered, chiseled lines is crystalline. HOVER is a rewarding, emotionally resonant debut collection."—Linda Bierds

By azb I don't read a lot of poetry and when I do, I often find myself confused or put off, but this book staggered me. Erin Malone has an awesome amount of talent, is insanely honest, and is brave enough to share her work with the world. The whole book was breathtaking, and some of these beautiful poems moved me to tears. No exaggeration.

Russell Erin Malone's HOVER is a beautifully written and honest book exploring parenting, life, and relationships. I immediately dove into this book (the cover is gorgeous too) and didn't stop reading until the book was done. Her poems take risks in vulnerability and made this reader feel less alone. An incredible debut collection, I already look forward to what Malone does next. Highly recommend!

They are built of a familiar, family, world, but the voice that carries them is just a little above and removed, hovering. They are spare, measured, one might think distant—but that’s wrong: they are deeply moving, and they linger. This is such a beautiful collection.
