Packed with a ton of useful and practical information so you never have to worry about your computer again. I found the book easy to read and very helpful in understanding anti-virus software, and how to use VPN and other internet tools. Also goes into detail on social networking sites and email accounts. Very good info! Highly recommended!

Everyone On The Planet Needs To Read This Book By Ejeks Internet security is becoming one of the world’s most crucial hot sports when it comes to the internet. These days now everyone is online consciously or unconsciously so it’s easy to get caught up in the net of really bad people if you are not careful enough.Just think about it, hacking and being hacked is on the news almost every day. If big corporations like SONY can be hacked, then you should realise just how important it is to protect yourself. But with James book, you can be rest assured that you are covered.The book is very detailed and covers just about all that you need to know about keeping yourself safe when on the internet but also you will get a crash cause in computer protection. You get to know how to deal with VPNs and Pop-Ups; those can be really annoying.

By Bishibosh I'm pretty well-versed with Windows and know the basics of Internet security and this book highlights a lot of them. I don't think it is enough for non-techie Mom's and Dad's to be interested but anybody who is frustrated with viruses and stuff will learn a lot here. The surprising thing is some of the things I personally learned like keylogger information and beefing up privacy. I did encounter some obsolete information like the suggested virus scanners (Windows 8/10 already has one built-in) but there is just lots of great security information available that it almost doesn't matter.

Miles One of the downsides to the "Peek inside" feature is that it doesn't really peak inside, which means we're now reliant on reviews to digest the info we hope will be useful.Unfortunately, this book wasn't useful to me, because it's literally beginner-level. I was already well familiar with using .NET scripting with SSIS and the word "Extending" is misleading. It's only extending if you've never used .NET with SSIS before.For mid/adv users, this book isn't for you. You can stop reading this review now since there's not much relevant to you. Sorry. :(For the rest of you reading this review, I'll focus on what you may find of interest.With each release of SSIS (or Visual Studio), new features make SSIS less than a pain to work with. For me, it's about time Microsoft start introducing .NET scripting, but boy, there's still more to go.The book literally covers the basics on how to use scripting in SSIS packages, and in some cases, offers several examples of performing the same task differently. But if you're familiar with using variables and the For/Next object, there's not much else that expands on this basic. Most examples utilize this feature, which sort of breaks the whole notion of .NET scripting. SSIS handles variables without the need for scripting.The few other examples will show you how to create custom fields or manipulate data during transfer. The instructions are easy to follow and come in both C# and VB.NET.Unfortunately, that's also part of the problem with the book: BOTH languages are covered, and BOTH languages take up many pages of filler. Take out the code, and this book's page count gets taken down by half (if not more).I can never understand why code has to be put inside the book when the first thing it asks is you download it. Seems unnecessary and redundant, but alas, some publishers still insist code be included (and unlike the download code, errors can't be updated).The 3 star rating is mostly based on my expectation, as the book is definitely useful for beginners. The misleading title and lack of solid .NET examples for everyday applications was disappointing.Pros:-Well written and easy to follow for beginners looking to script additional components for data manipulation.-VB.NET and C# code examples.-Short book, so the basics can be learned in as little as a day or two.Cons:-Definitely not a book for advanced users.-Too much code in the book, leaving little room for additional examples or better use of .NET-Ben Stein would be perfect for an audio version.That's about it. It covers scripting in the script task and the script component and it comes packed with practical examples. The book is littered with code snippets you can use immediately (they are also provided as a separate download). The book is well written in a very understandable way. A lot of screenshots are used, so it’s hard to miss anything. There are a few typos here and there, but not too much to annoy me. It’s quite a lengthy book, with a healthy 481 pages. However, all of the code samples are written in C# and in VB.NET, so if you’re interested in only one programming language there are a lot of parts you can skip. Personally I would have left out VB.NET (who uses that anymore? (joking)). I understand why they include it and it makes the book very complete, but it also leads to excessive scrolling sometimes. It doesn’t make the book bad, but also – in my opinion – not that much better. But again, I understand why they included the VB.NET snippets (and yes, in SSIS 2005 it was your only option but we’re 2016 now).You can read the book front to back, but you can also skip to a chapter of your interest. For example, if you want to use web services in a script component, you can go to the relevant chapter and directly start reading/coding. Almost all of the chapters are independent of one another, so you can read them in any order you’d like. This makes the book an excellent reference book. I’d like to keep a digital copy with me every time I go to a client, just in case I might need some .NET snippets.There are some introductory chapters on SSIS and .NET, but overall this book is aimed for people who have some experience in SSIS and who also know how to write a bit of .NET. This is not a beginner book, as background I have been a .NET and BI developer for the past 10 years, moving back and forth between the two skillsets. I am so glad to see someone put out a book on how to extend SSIS tools using .NET. SSIS is really a bunch of programming tools that are common programming activities (moving files, converting strings etc.), that Microsoft programmed (why reinvent the wheel?). All the tools in SSIS can also be done by using .NET and T-SQL alone. One, could actually just write an entire SSIS package using only the script tool... but that is not the point of this book. This book is to take ETL\SSIS programmers and step them up a notch. How to get around difficult, specific, ad-hoc programming situations at your job using the SSIS scripting tool\component. SSIS out of box can do a lot, but there will always be a situation where it can't do it all. Now you can, if you learn about .NET scripting. Go from zero to hero with this book.

It is not particularly Jewish, even thought the author is a rabbi. Alper has a real connection to people and the things that make them special. This is an uplifting, interesting package of short, pithy moments and situations. Alper is excellent with language.

Ryan Rabbi Alper made vacation at the lake with my tent and boat double the fun by bringing out the joys of life as we all know it, but few express it. The joys are sometimes deep in their meaningfulness, sometimes light and uplifting, but always worth reading and reliving, even when they bring a tear of joy to the eye of the reader - me. Many a vacationeer walked by and saw the title, and called out, "Isn't That the Truth!" They had no idea how much better it was made because of this book.

The author's style is very easy to read and very practical focused. He also clearly knows the subject inside and out and does a great job of not only showing you actual working code to do everything but also covers multiple approaches for different situations as well as key pitfalls to avoid.

Whirlwind Tour of Web Scraping Employing Python By Amazon Customer The background requirement for the book would be a basic understanding of websites and python.Specifically about websites one should know that content is laid out in HTML and JavaScript allows dynamic things that may alter HTML. Also useful but not required, how requests are sent back and forth from a user client to a web server.Specifically about python one should know how to load and use functions from a module and how to install new modules.The book gives a world wind tour of the process and existing python tools to enable: web crawling (how to grab html content from a server) andweb scraping (how to extract actual data from the content)The first two chapters introduce the basic web scraping scenario and the later chapters introduce complications to the process and tools/approaches to handle them.The book provides a great high level idea of web scraping and provides a self contained python starter kit to get up and running. It’s a short read at 175 pages with very accessible content with links to get more detailed documentation. The site also offers a practice website to try out scraping techniques.I came to the book with previous exposure to various python web scraping tools that I pieced together from the web (from tutorials, blogs, stackoverflow). I really enjoyed the self contained nature of the whole web scraping process that the book provides. This book would have saved me a LOT of time and pain had it been available when I got started with web scraping. Having said that, I still learned a few things – specifically the CAPTCHA tools and some basic utilities that I can employ in my day to day python.I recommend this book for anyone who is just starting out with web scraping or is already familiar with scraping but wants to learn how to employ python to the cause. Once you read the book, there is significant opportunity to explore the individual tools further.

By John Osborne If you are looking for ways to automatically gather and curate data off of webpages, this book is probably for you. There is a chapter on scrapy, a chapter on dealing with CAPTCHA, a chapter on handling dynamic (ie javascript based) pages, and a chapter on concurrent downloads, plus a few others covering housekeeping details like parsing scraped pages and caching. All in all, a book that provides a broad foundation on web scraping.

A CLASSIC APOLOGETICS WORK BY A NOTED JURIST By Steven H Propp Simon Greenleaf (1783-1853) was a professor of law at Harvard University from 1833-1848; he wrote this brief book in 1874.In his dedication "To the Members of the Legal Profession" Greenleaf states, "If a close examination of the evidences for Christianity may be expected of one class of men more than another, it would seem incumbent on us, who make the law of evidence one of our peculiar studies.... This influence we are constantly exerting for good or ill; and hence, to refuse to acqaint ourselves with the evidences of the Christian religion, or act as though, having fully examined, we lightly esteemed them, is to assume an appalling amount of responsibility."He argues that for the evangelists to have written falsehoods "would also have been irreconcilable with the fact that they were good men." Moreover, "It is incredible that bad men should invent falsehoods to promote the religion of the God of truth."He states, "The discrepancies between the narratives of the several evangelists, when carefully examined, will not be found sufficient to invalidate their testimony ... In the points in which they agree, and which constitute the great body of the narratives, their testimony is of course not doubted; where they differ, we reconcile them, as well as we may; and where this cannot be done at all, we follow that light which seems to us the clearest."Interestingly, he notes about the trial of Jesus by the Sanhedrin: "He was arrested in the night, bound as a malefactor, beaten before his arraignment, and struck in open court during the trial; he was tried on a feast day, and before sunrise, he was compelled to incriminate himself, and this, under an oath of solemn judicial adjuration; and he was sentenced on the same day as the conviction. In all these particulars the law was wholly disregarded."This book, though old, is still of continuing interest to those interested in Christian apologetics.

Waldrip My own engineering background has equipped me with sufficient grasp of logic and science to recognize that scripture (rightly understood) and science (rightly understood) are never in real conflict. What this little book shows is that what I have always thought to be faith (right conclusions about spiritual matters drawn from circumstantial evidence) is grounded in reasonable, rational, and clearly articulated rules of evidence when applied in an intellectually honest manner. This is a book that should be given to everyone as a graduation gift from law school.

I really enjoyed reading this even though it may have been a little short it does make it up in sheer quirkiness and charm. It was interesting that I kept forgetting this book is about Minecraft. Every now and then something specific to Minecraft would show up and I would have to remember that the images in my head need to be more pixel-like! Every chapter gives you an excitement and it keeps on building towards the end.

By Chris Kohler I have been a fan of adventure stories since I was a kid, my friends even tell me I am childish becasue most of the time I like kid stuffs like cartoons and this kind of book, but I guess i am just young at heart. This book has been really enjoyable, a lot of adventures and exciting. This is the kind of book I am going to read my son with, but for now as I don’t have any yet, will enjoy it myself.

This turned out to be futile since half the pages are now folded. "Do not give dogs what is holy." Two pages further and "Spring and the theory of regret" has a triangular corner. Same with "Proselytizing." This continues through the Listen half of the book and on through the Dance half.Besides loving the structures of David James' poems, and in some cases spending time to really dive into a particularly clever structure, it's really his storytelling and the stories behind the stories that make this such a great book. "What is love" is for Debra James. Just read the book's dedication and you'll know exactly who this poem is for and how she felt.There are many more examples: "Slam" is as hilarious as "I pay for it" is disgusting. And "Think Death" inspired me to write a response.That's really what it comes down to: My Torn Dance Card is an inspiring roller coaster.Buy it today.

I could write about how visceral the imagery is or how easily it flows, but what strikes me most is how I'm left feeling. I have curled up with this book and a glass of wine and had to just lay the book on my chest and say "Wow," with a feeling in my heart his words somehow pulled from me. Anyone who can do that deserves to be read.

Armed with speakers, turntables, light systems, and records, Filipino American mobile DJ crews, such as Ultimate Creations, Spintronix, and Images, Inc., rocked dance floors throughout the San Francisco Bay Area from the late 1970s through the mid-1990s. In Legions of Boom noted music and pop culture writer and scholar Oliver Wang chronicles this remarkable scene that eventually became the cradle for turntablism. These crews, which were instrumental in helping to create and unify the Bay Area's Filipino American community, gave young men opportunities to assert their masculinity and gain social status. While crews regularly spun records for school dances, weddings, birthdays, or garage parties, the scene's centerpieces were showcases—or multi-crew performances—which drew crowds of hundreds, or even thousands. By the mid-1990s the scene was in decline, as single DJs became popular, recruitment to crews fell off, and aspiring scratch DJs branched off into their own scene. As the training ground for a generation of DJs, including DJ Q-Bert, Shortkut, and Mix Master Mike, the mobile scene left an indelible mark on its community that eventually grew to have a global impact.

About the Author Charles Harper Webb is the author of numerous poetry collections, including Reading the Water, Liver, Tulip Farms and Leper Colonies, Hot Popsicles, Amplified Dog, Shadow Ball: New and Selected Poems, and What Things Are Made Of. His poems have appeared in Best American Poetry, the Pushcart Prize, and Poets of the New Century. He is professor of English at California State University, Long Beach, and teaches in the MFA in creative writing program there.

Yes, Satisfying By David Curry An article by Charles Harper Webb, “The Limits of Indeterminacy: A Defense of Less Difficult Poems,” in the current issue of The Writer’s Chronicle made me want to make the acquaintance of Webb’s poetry, and I’m glad I did.In “Postmodernism Missed the Opry,” a poem in his latest collection Brain Camp complements his argument in the article and concludes:“Aesthetic distance is the valley betweenmountains full of deer , trout, bobwhitesand the pine-shaded shack where you were born.Postmodern is a city boy who’s never beenso lonesome he could cry – who’d neverwalk the line, sigh, “Hello, walls,” or waltzacross Texas – who thinks he’s too smartto place a rose from her own garden on the graveof his wife of fifty years – who hides,in an ice chest that should be full of longnecks,his really and truly cold, cold heart.”That poem and “The Good Survives” are more than worth the price of admission, and there are other fine poems besides.If you’ve written off contemporary poetry as something created by boring and incomprehensible folks for boring and incomprehensible folks, give it another chance with this clear and frequently hand-clappingly satisfying collection. (The academic crowd Webb argues against – “literaturists,” a poet friend once dubbed them – would, of course, hold their noses over my use of the word “satisfying.” The hell with them.)It startles me that Webb earns his living in academia. Pray for him.

The reference implementation is a great example for building these solutions and can easily be built using other cloud platforms besides Azure.
