That love is as young and fresh today as it had been more than half a century ago. How do they do it? How can these octogenarians and nonagenarians be as much in love today? We became simply fascinated by these questions which were puzzling us on a daily basis, while we were tending to their medical needs. We had to find out the answers…. With our encouragement, over a three year period, a group of eleven couples, who had connected through our office practice, decided to meet periodically and explore together the reasons for their extensive marital success. Little by little, they developed a level of comfort with each other, such that they could uncover common factors to their long lasting love. Each author committed to writing a chapter, disclosing openly the problems they had encountered during their own life and the solutions they applied. This book, I Do, was born. There has been a remarkable increase in the number of books published in the last five years on Couple and Marital Issues. The vast majority of these books have been written by psychologists, practicing family and marital counseling. I Do presents the real voices of older couples, who have endured life in the trenches. I think the light-hearted less technical approach to the information in the book makes it a lot easier for an uninformed future parent to digest. The squeamish topics become a little more approachable when they are taken out of the overly clinical verbose.This book fills a gap that exists in first-time-parent literature - a majority of the books focus a lot on the woman's journey and experiences and neglects to address how a first-time father should approach it all! Though I will admit, I also hope to one day read a companion book that approaches pregnancy and parenthood from the mother's perspective with the same casual tone and light-heartedness that this book utilized.It was a truly refreshing and enjoyable read. Can't wait for the sequel dealing with parenthood!

It took me 15 mins tops to read as the content was basic at best.If I had paid 30p then I may have said that there are a few tips that were useful but for the price there are thousands of advise books out there that would put this to shame.PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.To the author - you have an easy to read style of writing and I get the impression that you may actually have some decent ideas on this matter, but this 'book' came across as something you flung together lastminute.com to see if you could make some quick money?!

Robbins has a knack for creating amazing poems that touch down in utter darkness and set sail into the light. They paint pictures both pretty and ugly. Life is quite raw and very much on display in these short pieces of brilliance.Robbins, with the skill of a surgeon, dissects reality in ways that most writers will quietly envy. This collection of poetry originated many years ago when I wrote about my relationships with several active alcoholics. I use the image of the butterfly because these creatures are among the most beautiful in the world, and I attach spiritual significance to them. In poetry, butterflies often represent freedom, whimsy, or transformation. I started writing poetry about twenty-five years ago when I needed an avocation other than my career in public health. Since that time, I have undergone a spiritual change through twelve-step programs, Unity teachings, A Course in Miracles, meditation, and writing. The metamorphosis and the poems that accompanied this change are chronicled here. The format of the collection consists of a poem on one page and an affirmation with a statement about the poem on the page following in order to enhance understanding of the poem. I have found that affirmations are useful tools for turning around negative thoughts. The poems are arranged in order from darker themes to lighter, more spiritual themes. This collection can help others overcome the difficulty of a relationship with a non-recovering alcoholic or other addicted person. There are many paths to recovery that offer hope for dealing with the most challenging of relationships. This is one of those paths.

About the Author Mary L. Westcott began writing poetry 25 years ago and has been published in more than fifty five literary journals. She holds a doctorate in social psychology and an MA in Writing and is retired from the National Institutes of Health. She has been on a spiritual journey, including recovery from several alcoholic relationships. She lives in The Villages, Florida with Rocky Rio and Didi, her two rescue cats.

Lawry As the subtitle, "A Journey of Healing and Recovery through Poetry," suggests, the thought that occurred to me as I was reading this moving book of poetry was, "Amazing Grace." I was reminded of Arten's warning to Gary Renard in his THE DISAPPEARANCE OF THE UNIVERSE: "There are teachers who will tell you that life is not a classroom and that you are not here to learn lessons but simply to experience the truth that is already within you. They are mistaken. Your life is very much a classroom and if you don't learn your lessons then you will not experience the truth that is within you." FLUTTERING offers evidence that Mary Westcott has learned her lessons.I must confess I was skeptical when I read in the Preface that each poem was followed by a "statement . . . in order to enhance understanding of the poem." Most of the time the statements give context and occasionally exegesis. To my knowledge, most poets resist such efforts. However, I found the practice quite fascinating and helpful to appreciating the poems. So thank you, Mary, for sharing your journey "from the darkness into the light."

Perfect for beginners such as myself By Jamie Alisson If you are like me (a total beginner with excel and this kind of software), you'll love this book. I read a few other books on this topic, but they were just confusing, outdated and not very well written. After reading this book, I started applying some of the principles and commands. I can confidently say that my work project that would have taken me 9 days to finish will now take about 6 days. Of course, there is many more to learn for me from this book and I'll have to admit that it will take some practice as I can tell to learn everything perfectly. But the steps, commands and principles behind excel are outlined very well and they are also structured properly.I'm glad that finally I have a book that I can always refer to when I need more efficiency and automation working with excel. I would definetely recommend it (not to people who are total professionals with excel though).

The downside is friends & co-workers are using it with excellent results. I hate asking them to keep showing me things because is makes me sound like an Ludite. EXCEL:Boost Your Productivity is a huge hep for me. Since I already have a Kindle reader on my computer, I can refer back to this handy guide anytime I'm unsure of something. This brief, well-written guide help me handle my personal bogeyman, the formula. EXCEL sheets are great for accounting, records, historical dates, organizing information chronologically, and the list goes on. If the only thing between you and EXCEL is lack of knowledge, then you need this book.

This book provides everything that I needed in excel. I used to spend hours figuring out how to create a formula or copy data from worksheet to another or from cell to cell, but not anymore.I find this book very informational and very comprehensive. It teaches everything from the very basics of excel to familiarizing toolbar, functions, formulas, macros, keyboard shortcuts and many more. I find the explanation on recording and running a macro very helpful.The best part that I Iike is the number formatting keyboard shortcuts, to be honest I really don't know about this one, such as currency wherein it's just a keyboard away by pressing Ctrl+Shift+$ and adding hyperlink by pressing Ctrl + K. Excellent book, the best so far!

It covers topics such as laws impacting education and access to justice and seeking help from professionals when hidden disabilities are suspected. It also discusses suffering, intercession, and hope because our lives are integrated, not segregated, into the practical and the spiritual. What we deal with practically in our everyday lives impacts us spiritually.  My suggestion is that you read each chapter like you would a devotional, stopping to focus on the prayer at the end of each chapter. Seek God for His confirmation and your response to what you have read to define needed shifts in thinking or action items. By Karen McDowall I'm only a few chapters into this book and I have already been blessed! It's well worth the read for anyone in ministry to children/families to help understand the struggles of those with these unseen disabilities. This book is a must for families of faith who have family members struggling with hidden challenges. As a parent of three 'normal' children, I can't even imagine the life of parents with these hidden struggles. Melanie takes us inside her own situation with humor and grace. Well done, Melanie!

From the Inside Flap Some "sensual mischief" occurred last night.  I awaken to the sounds of my IPod playing from the "Sensual Cuts" playlist. Getting out of bed, I put on my pajama pants, slip on my house shoes, and limp to the bathroom. My legs still ache from lifting weights the other day. I began questioning myself, what did I do? The queasy feeling in my stomach was indicative of too much Moscato wine. As I exit, a woman yells, "Devin, come get your breakfast with your little sexy chocolate self!" "Huh! Who in the hell is that?" I wonder.   I proceed downstairs towards the kitchen to investigate. The combination of eggs, bacon, and French toast penetrate my nostrils. Whoever she is can cook. Entering the kitchen, I encounter a gorgeous woman. She stands 5'5, caramel complexion, light brown eyes, natural curly hair and curvy as the letter C. "Damn, I sure know how to pick them," I think to myself. That's the good part. Want to know the bad part? I can't remember this girl's name! "I think it is Lucy? Yea, it is Lucy." Lucy is a fine ass nurse who I met at the bar last night. She must be something if I let her sleepover.

Hilarious/terrifying insight into the mind of a player By Lindsey Mountford Although it's unlikely this book will be a contender for the Nobel Prize for literature, I enjoyed it very much. It's more of a romance story than just a list of dating/sex stories, which makes it a much more satisfying read. It's the classic romance story of a nice girl who transforms the player into a committed, loving boyfriend, with a few steamy hot sex scenes, and a subplot with a crazy girl.The best thing about this book is the language, especially when the main character is chatting to his friends - it's a hilarious, and also slightly terrifying insight into the mind of a player. It's a fun, book with a simple, pleasing story, and it made me laugh out loud several times. There are a few key phrases I'll be using in my own life!Considering it was free when I bought it, I'm giving it five stars though quite honestly even if the next book is $2.99 I would buy it, it really did make me laugh.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. I loved this book! By curledup I really enjoyed this book. I was fascinated by the strength and honesty from Dab, the playa who meets his match. It is sensual and sexy and for adults only but is classy. It is about growing up and taking chances and letting your heart win. It has romance, passion, lust, love and a few intense surprises. It is described in great detail and was really easy to read. I can not wait to read the next one. Marcus Woods is a great author and it is clear he loves writing. I certainly am hooked by his talent and I want more. This will definitely be an interesting series. I highly recommend this book to all adults who enjoy a straight forward romance novel. It rocked

Mr. Woods seems to take you by the hand and lead you through his story with such grace. The hot and steamy scenes are perfectly played out and mixed with the love that he exudes for Lucy just leave you totally satisfied and hungrily anticipating their next encounter. He throws in a big twist with the Keesha character and then throws an even bigger one to finish off the book. I will be passing this book on to all my friends and I know you will too, once you have read it.
