About the Author

Rose Gonnella is the Executive Director of the Robert Busch School of Design at Kean University in Union County and Ocean County, New Jersey, and Wenzhou-Kean University, China (2015). Gonnella has taught graphic design for over 25 years including courses in design theory and materials and techniques. She currently serves on the executive board of the Art Directors Club of New Jersey (ADCNJ); is the Director of the Kean University/ADCNJ "Thinking Creatively" design conference; and she also directs and guides Kean Cre8tive, the RB/School of Design in-house graphic design studio.

Christopher J. Navetta’s diverse career boasts an eclectic group of clients and employers that includes Wendy’s, Kay-Bee Toys, Natural Wonders, Jersey City Public Schools, Thomson Delmar Learning (now Cengage), PFLAG, Prentice Hall, Six Flags, the Mall of America, and Nickelodeon. He is the co-author and designer of Comp It Up: A Studio Skills Foundation, and a contributing writer, designer, researcher, and photographer for Design To Touch: Engraving History, Process, Concepts, and Creativity. He currently teaches design at Kean University, and has worked on developing curricula for undergraduate courses and a summer design program for high school students.

Max Friedman is an illustrator, designer, and filmmaker currently attending Kean University’s Robert Busch School of Design.

The information Mr. Ketron provides can be a wonderful help to people who want to make sure their affairs are in order at the time of their death. The real-life examples he gives can be valuable learning tools for the rest of us on how to avoid the conflicts and stress that families experience when loved ones pass away. This book is an "easy read" that is more conversational than anything. You feel that Mr. Ketron is sitting next to you and sharing his experiences over his career. I highly recommend this book to any one that wants to gain an understanding on how to prepare for their final days.

Wilcox This is a great gift item idea for siblings who may not be thinking about this topic yet. Yes, we will all die, so this book is a must for everyone. It was a quick read with good information. I enjoyed the real examples and matter-of-fact tone. And I agree with the author that there is no foolproof happy-ending approach to dying, but it is so important to take care of business and mitigate things that can go wrong. Next, I'm going to pass my copy along to my sister. Then, I hope she will read it and pass it along to the next sibling in line. This was so timely!

About the Author I was born on October 3, 1955 to Ernest and Geraldine Talton. My parents were hard working and did whatever they could to raise me and my 7 brothers and sisters. My mother called me the lucky one. I grew up in Highland Park, MI which is a suburb of Detroit. As a young man I decided that I wanted to do what in the eyes of the law was wrong and had got caught up in the judicial system. The look on my mother's face was more hurting than anything and I knew that I had to make a change. As I stood in front of the judge I realized that this would be a life changing moment for me. I had come to a fork in the road and I had to make the decision of which door I wanted to travel down. I was 19 on my own and going in the wrong direction, got myself locked up and brought to my knees. I looked around and wondered; where are all my friends? My real friend showed up with an application in hand for Eastern Michigan University starting in the fall of 1975. I am a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. So thanks to the Lord and a praying mother I was given a second chance.

I had large engaging till last month, but since the start of April the reach was pretty low. It seemed like some new algorithm, but I was engaging the audience in same older manner which doesn't interest the people much. Probably not, but here goes: When not writing poems, Lara Cilwik is trying to keep up with endless piles of laundry and dirty dishes. Her two older children (10 and 9) sometimes complain about finding a peanut-butter encrusted spoon in the silverware drawer. (The youngest child would probably complain too except for the fact that he can’t talk yet – he’s 8 months – and his baby spoons aren’t used for peanut butter.) Mrs. Cilwik realizes the importance of clean cutlery, but acknowledges that her life is a work-in-progress. By Jeanne LeRoy The first in a planned five book series, Kayti Nika Raet’s “Niko” is a tense and imaginative novel set in the popular field of YA dystopia. The characters are plausible, memorable, relatable, and cleverly written. Even better, the world she has created stands up to scrutiny, making sense where so many others collapse as you move from chapter to chapter.The plotting in Niko is terrific with tension and story questions raised on the very first page. Not only is the world is bathed in acid rain making food scarce, humans are beset by ‘Slithers,’ fanged and clawed human-like beasts who feed on human flesh. Fortunately, as a proper heroine, Niko gleefully dispatches the Slithers with a nail-studded baseball bat. She joins the Rose Circle, a rogue group of Slither hunters who smuggle her into the presumed haven of Amaryllis City. But, as expected in a dystopian novel, all is not quite as it seems. What she discovers, about herself and the world she lives in, you’ll have to learn for yourself.Each page is filled with adventure, sacrifice, surprises, and danger. You’ll not want to put this book down because each chapter leaves you wanting more!5 Stars! Give it a try!

Set in a world that is entirely believable, the fate of Niko’s family rests on her fragile shoulders. The reader loves Niko instantly. She is feisty, determined and refreshingly unafraid, juxtaposed with cowardly neighbours who stand and watch her home burn - with her two brothers in it. Niko’s quest is to find her missing brother and try to protect him from a civilisation that has turned in on itself. The reader knows that it’s not possible and so does Niko, but it doesn’t stop her wanting to try.The characters Niko meets along the way are dangerous, even the ones she chooses to align herself with. The fate of the valiant Rose Circle is already mapped out in a progressive, hopeless spiral into failure, the product of man’s meddling with nature. Niko is the one bright spot in a beautifully described world that has no future and the reader is carried through on a tide of hope and possibility.I really liked this novel, despite being entirely outside its perfect demographic audience. It was gripping and engaging, holding onto me until it was done.

9 of 9 people found the following review helpful. An exciting read. By B. Martin I downloaded this book for my teenaged daughter. She enjoyed it very much. The post-apocalyptic setting was very well described, with everything from horrible monsters called slithers, to acid rain, to food shortages. The characters were interesting, particularly the main character, Niko. She is a feisty and determined young woman who perseveres in the face of some pretty horrible obstacles.All in all, this was a very good read, and I recommend it for anyone looking for a good adventure with a strong female lead.

Waldrip Challenged by one of his own students to abandon his compartmentalized thinking and look at the gospel through well-established rules of evidence, the author was subsequently converted to Christ. This book is wonderful at showing fact to be the right conclusion based upon circumstantial evidence, not the blind leap so many think it is. One does not need, and surely cannot, put his brain in neutral in order to consider the claims of Christ and trust Him for salvation full and free.

This is a reprint on a foundational set of books for Evidence law. It is referenced in many Hornbooks. I received one of the three volumes, volume II-sixteeth edition that was originally printed in 1899 in a new paperback. I am trying to resolve the issue now.

Useful Lessons By Valentina Letunovskaya When I began reading Teresa Miller's RETIREMENT PLANNING, I found it so captivating that I continued to read it through dinner time and finally finished it after midnight. Teresa's journal entries enthralled me because her experiences were so similar to mine. Though I was considerably younger when I emigrated to the States, I experienced many of the same feelings and concerns that Teresa narrates. I wish I had her journal to read at that time. Perhaps my move to the US would not of been so tumultuous. Even now I know that her journal will help me in the future. Reading Teresa Miller's journal will teach you how to avoid losing yourself in retirement, how to avoid mistakes in finances and in relationships. I am so grateful to Teresa for sharing her daily thinking and emotions with such delicacy and descriptive language. She has helped me to better prepare for and experience life.

By John Dalida While everyone who plans on retiring some day would benefit from reading Teresa Miller’s RETIREMENT PLANNING, I would recommend it to anyone in their 20s or 30s, anyone thinking about retiring or anyone moving to a new location. The accumulation of her daily entries (of course, I do wonder what happened on 21 January) provide valuable lessons on what we value, how we manage our time, and how we nurture and develop our relationships. While Ms. Miller writes honestly, tactfully and comprehensively about routine events like enjoying a cup of coffee, she even makes paying mortgage payments interesting. A tour-de-force, I highly recommend reading about Teresa Miller’s first tumultuous year of retirement and I look forward to other books she may write.John Dalida

Think many people "flounder" during this transition to a whole different lifestyle, and this author gives us a realistic viewpoint to ponder.

18 of 21 people found the following review helpful. Useful, but Needs Editing By Boots I feel bad giving this a two-star review.There are countless ways to learn ES6 (now ES2015) online. I like books, though. So, I got this book because it was a book, and I wanted to learn more about ES2015 from a book.I really don't want to insult the author or its reviewers. They're all clearly competent developers, and the book treats a lot of interesting topics. However, it also reads like it skipped several rounds of copy-editing. The english is incredibly difficult to parse at times, and there are *a lot* of minor (but annoyingly frequent) syntax errors in the code samples (e.g., "Var" instead of "var", missing spaces after certain keywords, etc.).I'm 100 pages in, and I feel like I significantly overpaid for this book. That being said, I'm still learning things.

As one reviewer mentioned, the English is a little rugged at times, but as an early entrant in the ES6 book market it has merit. The book is a concise survey of what is new in ES6, and the examples are succinct and to the point. The examples sometimes include a little twist that gives additional insight into JavaScript technique.My interests lean to server-side JavaScript, so I ran the book examples using Node.js v4 and Babel.js with good results. I learned a lot about ES6 and am satisfied with the book and the time I spent with it.I would give the book five stars for technical content, but have to take back a star for the unsteady English. If you can look past that minor flaw, and you want to get started learning what's new with ES6, I think you will enjoy this book.

By Behan This book was clearly not edited thoroughly--or at all for that matter--and was very poorly written (I don't intend to be mean, I'm trying to be as accurate as possible, especially considering I'm a fellow educator in the programming arena) . Proper grammar and clarity are an important part of educational materials and neither should be overlooked. The writing is so poor to the point that it's cognitively taxing to follow what the author is saying. The code examples are also so basic to the point that they aren't effective, not to mention there is no scaffolding in this book whatsoever.

Franzini, Jr. I have purchased Inside Out for previous Windows systems and they were good. This book misses the mark. It's like Microsoft prevented them from adding information that would help a user understand how to do specific things and some tricks and tips. Also, it doesn't mention much about the forced updates and not being able to block Microsoft from gathering information on the home version used on most laptops. If you just want an understanding of Windows 10, then this may be OK. This book does not live up to it's previous reputation

Helber Regarding the book, I'm still happy with the purchase but want others to know that this series no longer has a CD or a digital copy. (In the past, I appreciated having the textbook at one location and being able to have the digital copy at my home to read).

A Good Manual However Skips Around a Lot By David This is a good book but... there are many things it does not talk about on subjects where I needed to learn more. It skips around topics throughout the book. For example I had several questions about Onedrive. For some reason Onedrive is not even given one page, it need at least a few pages or a chapter, Cortana is only given a few pages but is refer to a number of times through out the book as Onedrive is ... quite scattered. Since the book has a lot of pages to reading using this as reference book is the only options.Do not make my mistake. Find out what you want to know about and look at the table of contents closely. Don't assume they will talk about what you want to know. I only give it four stars because it is well written. I might have given it three as far as being useful to me.This is a difficult operating system to write about, anyone that tries should be thanked.
